I met Abeer in 2019, just as I was beginning my first semester of grad school in California.
“Well here’s an interesting guy,” I thought to myself as I was bombarded with deep questions from Abeer the first time we met—on a farm, in a class on food sustainability.
I was usually the one to ask questions. But this time, I was on the receiving end.
It was a new feeling. I actually had to reflect, dig within myself, and find somewhat of a profound answer to his question: “what is spirituality?”
Later, Abeer told me that it was my relentless questioning that drew him to me too.
This soulful exchange sparked not only a deep friendship but ignited a relationship that has now made me into a co-founder wife.
They talk about “being married to your co-founder” well…in our case, it’s literally true.
It wasn’t an easy start though.
When Abeer asked me to join Numinous Realm in early 2020, I said “no.”
Because I had my own big idea. My own path.
So we had our first fight—not just as a couple but as unofficial co-founders. I still remember him looking me in the eye and saying “you’d be an idiot to pass on this.”
After all, he had been working on Numinous Realm since 2016.
Well, it seemed like the world was conspiring. Because if it hadn’t been for the Covid-19 lockdown, I don’t know if I would have tumbled down that rabbit hole.
But Abeer was, and will always be, the White Rabbit to me. Not only because of his grey hair, but because I can’t help but follow his spirit.
A lot has happened since then:
Abeer made pioneering revelations around trend cycles in fashion history and launched his first clothing brand called Mother Earth World Wide.
He realized the need for a deeper system and built a research platform called the HistoryEngine, which continues to develop today.
He launched a brand consulting service, helping a large tech company in Silicon Valley.
We did A LOT of shadow work—personally and together.
We both received a philosopher’s stone from our grad program.
We applied to Y Combinator twice and got rejected both times.
We moved from our quaint beach-town home in Santa Cruz to the concrete jungle of New York City, so we could be in the heart of global culture.
I began providing 1:1 archetypal consultations.
We launched a fashion brand called Integrate This, and sold our first HistoryEngine-produced garment.
Abeer began trading and investing using archetypal principles—with some big successes and some big failures.
I started our online newspaper and built a team of contributors, learning in the process what it means to manage a group of people.
And finally, we both produced academic papers on the archetypal cycles in fashion and film.
To put it simply, we’ve been experimenting a lot. As all startups do.
But we no longer call ourselves a startup. We are a family business—nearly a decade in the making.
We like being a family business because we’re in it for the long game. It’s not about sudden growth and VC-backed politics. Though we did consider that too…
Numinous Realm goes beyond Abeer and me. It’s being built in a way so that it can stand the test of time—stand the test of ages.
What makes Numinous Realm Numinous Realm, is really you.
Even the name “Numinous Realm” was chosen by Abeer when he heard our professor, Richard Tarnas say something along the lines of… “it is of the numinous realm…” during a lecture.
Numinous Realm is an ode to a brilliant lineage of mythic heroes and heroines of history.
And we want you to be part of this lineage.
We want you to become a mythic leader—like Walt Disney, like J.K. Rowling, like Mahatma Gandhi, like Frida Kahlo, like Steve Jobs.
After 9 years of trial and error, research and experimentation, debt and doubt, we have created the perfect map to help you become the person you know you are dying to be.
We made and learned from all the mistakes so you don’t have to.
