Conflict in Ecuador: A Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto Unraveling
Ecuador just declared a state of emergency that will last for 60 days due to an internal armed conflict between law enforcement and organized crime groups.
It all began on Sunday when Adolfo Macias, the leader of the Los Choneros gang escaped from prison on January 7th.
Violence erupted in prisons and 100 guards have been held hostage by prisoners. Several police officers have also been kidnapped, which has led to widespread violence on the streets of Guayaquil.
President Daniel Noboa is indicating the violence is purely a reaction to the government's initiative to build a new high-security prison for notorious gang leaders.
These kind of gang/organized crime related events correlate with the archetypal combination of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto.
In the sky right now we have Jupiter in a sextile (60º) to Saturn and in a square (90º) to Pluto.
Jupiter is the archetype of the king.
Saturn is the archetype of the judge.
Pluto is the archetype of the beast.
The combination of Jupiter-Pluto represents power struggles, the celebration of the underworld, and the feeling of being high and mighty.
In short, Jupiter-Pluto is mafia energy.
And with Saturn in the mix, the law often gets involved.
To put things into depth, when Pablo Escobar first escaped from prison in July of 1992, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto were in alignment.
When Narcos the Netflix television series based on Pablo Escobar was released in August 2015, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto were in alignment.
Perhaps the most culturally iconic reflection of this archetypal quality is The Godfather, which was released on July 15, 1972, under a Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto alignment.
So this is the diachronic energy in the air right now.
Jupiter-Pluto is about taking the depths of the underworld to the breadths of the overworld.
Without Saturn's involvement, law and order could crumble.
The king, the judge, and the beast need to learn to play the game well.
